Specifications: The HP G60-630US is one of the latest 15.6-inch laptop models for this month (January 2009). It is designed to be a versatile computing platform that is well suited for a large array of moderate computing tasks. This laptop comes with a 320GB hard drive, a 2.2Ghz dual-core processor and 3GB of DDR2 RAM. Its screen is a HD display (1366 x 768) and it comes with an Intel GMA 4500M graphics processor. Other essential features in include a 5-in-1 card reader, 802.11b/g/n wi-fi and an 8X DVD drive.

Design: We had the pleasure of reviewing the black model, which looks very professional. It has a glossy piano-black external casing tinged with silver highlights. They keyboard is also black in color but the area around the keyboard and track pad is silver in color. This model measures at 14.88 x 9.9 x 1.38 inches and weighs 6.57 pounds.

Features & Performance: Thanks to the large HD screen and the great set of Altec Lansing speakers, the HP G60-630US is well suited for watching movies and listening to music. It will also be able to run a variety of everyday tasks (Office applications, surfing the web, etc) flawlessly thanks to its set of competent specs. The outstanding 24/7 HP support is also a big selling factor for HP laptops. Some of its other features include a 3.75-hour battery life, LightScribe DVD drive (disc labeling), a HDMI output and 3 USB ports. At the moment, the HP G60-630US is selling for just around $529 each.
